Our adventure at Warredal led us to one such Treetop Cabin, perched elegantly three meters above the forest floor. Ascending the staircase to our tree house, we were greeted by a spacious terrace and veranda. Upon entering through the sliding doors, we found ourselves enveloped in an ambiance of wood upon wood, perfectly alligned with the natural beauty surrounding us.
The commitment to eco-friendly materials was evident, with not a single piece of plastic in sight within our wooden sanctuary. A wall of glass seamlessly connected us to the forest beyond, making it feel like an extension of our cozy retreat. Naturally, our favored nook was the comfortable seating by this panoramic window—the ideal spot for losing oneself in a game or diving into a good book.
These cabins epitomize the essence of returning to nature, blending off-the-grid living with the glamour of glamping, yet without sacrificing comfort. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a wood-burning stove to keep the chill at bay during winter, and a bathroom complete with hot water.
An added touch of adventure is the need to ‘forage’ for your wood at the woodshed before igniting your stove. The rustic charm extends to the cool box fridge on the porch. Evening lighting is an intimate affair with two oil lamps, an LED lantern, two candles, and a string of subtle Christmas lights, creating a magical but dimly lit environment that might challenge your board game skills or reading session.
