6 must-visit coffee bars and specialty coffee roasters in Namibia

#1 Slow Town

Windhoek | Website | Of course the capital of Namibia offers you some good espresso. In the heart of the city you can visit Slow Town Coffee, the best coffee spot in Windhoek. Everything at this spot is about coffee, so don’t expect much else on the menu. Besides a piece of cake or some cookies with your caffeine fix.

Tip: check out this blog about Windhoek for more must-do’s in the capital. We’ll give you tips like the one for the best – and free – viewpoint of the city!

#2 Diaz Coffee

Lüderitz |Facebook| You’ll probably think only the capital Windhoek or tourist favorite Swakopmund serves specialty coffee. Lüderitz has the perfect espresso as well! Diaz Coffee only uses the beans from Namibia’s best roasters such as Two Beards and Slow Town. Their specialty coffee is amazing, so make sure to visit this is the place at breakfast in the morning. Because Diaz doesn’t only stick to coffee. There is also an extensive menu for the whole day including breakfast. And Diaz also has a wine bar in the same building with the same name. So you can enjoy yourself at this hotspot the whole day!

Tip: do you want to know more about Lüderitz? In this blog about Lüderitz we tell you why it’s such a shame most travellers skip this coastal town. Hint: you can visit a ghost town in the desert!

#3 Cordes & Co.

Swakopmund | Facebook | This was for sure our favorite place in Swakopmund. Fantastic specialty coffee, good service, a nice courtyard and especially the most delicious breakfasts. We started our day here two days in a row. Tip: order the pancakes.

#4 Village Cafe

Swakopmund | Website | In a busy and colorful interior and pretty garden, the most delicious breakfasts and lunches are served here. The menu has many vegetarian options, although bacon seems to be their favorite part on the menu. It’s obvious from the menu that coffee is also a passion of Village Café. However you prefer to drink your coffee, they can prepare it for you.

#5 Two Beards Roastery

Swakopmund | Website | Swakopmund is also home to the hippest coffee roaster in Namibia: Two Beards Coffee Roasters. The roastery can be found just outside the city. Of course you can taste the coffee of Two Beards there in the “Gourmet Coffee Bar and Bistro”. And don’t forget to buy your beans to bring home with you!

#6 Slow Town

Swakopmund | Website | Have you tasted this Namibian coffee roast in Windhoek and are you looking for more? Then you’re happy to find out that there’s another Slow Town café in Swakopmund! There is not much else to order here than all sorts of coffee and some cake or cookies with it. Yet that is enough to always have a terrace full of people drinking their daily caffeine shots.
