#1 Pont Alexandre III

The most beautiful bridge across the Seine is the Pont Alexandre III. The extravagant Art Nouveau style makes this one of the most richly decorated structures in Paris. The beautiful lampposts, golden details and marble cherubs are fantastic. Add to that the view of the Eiffel Tower from one side. And the sunrise from the other side! You’ll probably already got that this place is the most beautiful in the early morning when the sun rises.

#2 The Louvre

The modern glass pyramids at the Louvre are a thorn in the side for many locals. The beautiful, historic palace of the Louvre was built in a classical style. The glass entrance couldn’t be any different from the palace building. But that also makes this such a pretty and photogenic place! The symmetrical shapes, the reflection of the pyramids in the water and the historic palace in the background. It makes a beautiful composition. Make sure you get here before or after the opening hours of the Louvre to avoid the crowds.

#3 The Eiffel Tower from Trocadéro and Pont de Bir-Hakeim

The Eiffel Tower is a bit of a cliché image of Paris. Where you can see the tower in a more unique and photogenic way? From the Pont Alexandre III that we already mentioned, you get a fantastic view of the famous structure. But even better are the views from the Trocadéro platform directly opposite the tower or from Pont de Bir-Hakeim. The best time to get here is during the sunrise. It is still quiet and you benefit from the soft morning light. From Pont de Bir-Hakeim, you’ll get to see that iconic image of a sunburst right next to the Eiffel Tower!

Tip: the Pont de Bir-Hakeim is not only pretty because of the view of the Eiffel Tower. The symmetry of the bridge is beautiful as well. Just take a look online and see for yourself!

#4 The Great Mosque of Paris

This place makes you feel like walking around in the Middle East! South of the Seine is the Grand Mosquée de Paris. For 3 euros you can buy an entrance ticket to explore the mosque. The courtyard is beautiful with exotic plants, a characteristic fountain and colourful mosaic. Though many people are taking pictures of the beautiful architecture, it is still peaceful enough to enjoy the beauty of the place.

#5 The Sacré-Cœur at sunrise

This unique church on top of the Montmartre is beautifully white. In the early morning, you can still enjoy the church here without the tourist crowds. But not only the church itself. From the terraces in front of the Sacré-Cœur, you’ll enjoy a spectacular view of the city. Especially around sunrise the soft colours of the morning light are beautiful!

#6 The Paris metro

The Paris metro is an attraction in itself. No, I don’t refer to the subway trains or the underground stations, but the entrances. Most of them are in the Art Nouveau style that’s so typical of Paris. They are all equally beautiful! Especially unique is the entrance at Palais Royal: it was decorated with a work of art of colourful beads not long ago.

#7 Palais Royal

Speaking of the Palais Royal: it is a big photo pretty highlight of Paris. The square with the black and white columns is particularly well-known, but the colonnade is also beautiful. You need to be here early for a photo with or from the column square (unless you don’t mind people in your photo). We recommend to visit the park at the Palais Royal as well. There are comfortable chairs around the beautiful fountain to enjoy this oasis in busy Paris.

#8 The carousel at Montmartre

The carousel at the bottom of the stairs to the Sacré-Cœur is beautiful. The classic design with the white church in the background is particularly instagrammable. Because tour buses are dropping off tourists at exact this spot all day long, it is often busy here. When not (yet)? Early in the morning during sunrise!

#9 The streets of Montmartre

Montmartre is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Paris. The narrow streets, monumental buildings and colourful details make this a popular photo spot. In the early morning, you will meet many photographers and ladies in beautiful dresses on their photo mission! Their favourite places? The pink house, Rue de l’Abreuvoir with a view of the church tower and the Le Consulat bistrot.

#10 Bookstore Shakespeare & Company

One of the most beautiful book stores in the world can be found in Paris. The old bookstore looks very historic. The historic store is beautifully characteristic. The English-language bookstore has dark wood bookcases with those classic ladders. The green facades with historical letters complete the image. Upstairs you can sit down with a book and the shop cat. Enclosed by the bookstore is also a popular café with a nice terrace.
