Koox Casona 3 Marias, our home away from home in Merida

Those who want to spend a few days in colorful Merida, tend to look for a nice and pleasant place to sleep in the center of town. Koox exactly meets that need with not one, but several small-scale boutique hotels! We were allowed to sleep in the beautiful Casona 3 Marias and actually didn’t want to leave.

Merida is a big city, but the nice squares, cozy coffee shops and interesting museums are perfectly within walking distance of each other. Koox has beautiful boutique hotels right in the center. We slept in Casona 3 Marias and loved the stylish interior and wonderful comfort.

The central hall has atmospheric pillars, colorful portraits of the national hero Frida Kahlo and a deep blue swimming pool. At that central hall we slept in room 3. Or room? Almost a hall. Because the room is wonderfully spacious and the beautiful, high ceiling emphasizes that even more. Of course a large bed fits in and let’s be a big fan of comfortable king-size beds. We rarely slept as well as in Merida.

The bathroom was also so nice. Neutral and stylish in natural tones, large soft towels and wonderfully spacious and clean. A welcome difference with the cold showers in the off the grid ecolodges where we have often slept in Mexico.

That sounds like an unaffordably expensive hotel, but that is certainly not Casona 3 Marias. As part of our cooperation, we were allowed to stay for two nights, but we enthusiastically booked a third night. For only 40 euros! Curious about the current prices? Check them here!

With Casona 3 Marias, Koox offers stylish and affordable comfort in a central location in Merida. We fell in love with both the colorful city and this delightful hotel.
