Sleep among the butterflies Watching night butterflies with a glass of wine, having breakfast in the sea of flowers: it doesn't get much more fun! During spring and summer the observatory is for rent for overnight stays, send me a message for availability! You not only have all the time here to make beautiful observations, but you can also use the observation equipment, games and microscopes. A little bit of taking care of the caterpillars and butterflies is definitely part of it too! The site has several locations for delicious sustainable and circular food. The observatory is an expedition trailer suitable for 2 people. This trailer is specially designed and is ideal for outdoor (living) life. In the dollhouse are the butterfly breeding cabinets! When there are caterpillars in here, you are expected to take care of them. How to do that is of course explained! Butterflies that come out of their pupa can be released. Of course, there is no guarantee of caterpillars and butterflies, such is nature!

The garden of this Nature House is a public educational garden, which consists of several flower meadows. This garden is planted with mostly native Dutch plants that together in different biotopes provide nectar almost all year round. Last but not least, it also contains all the host plants that caterpillars eat and the overwintering sites! This nature house is located on the urban agriculture area NoordOogst. In this area you will find a beekeeper, a smokehouse, the outdoor common pigs, a vineyard, a natural playground and small-scale green businesses! A very nice place to wander through.
