If you love the forest and cosy tiny houses as much as we, De Kleine Beer on the Veluwe is an amazing find. This beautiful design cottage at the edge of the forest is the perfect getaway for a trip to the Netherlands. We had the chance to stay here for a long weekend trip and absolutely loved our time relaxing in this tiny house on the Veluwe.
De Kleine Beer is the ultimate tiny house. The glass facade offers plenty of views of the forest, so you also feel connected to nature when staying inside. In front of the window, the house has a cosy sitting area with a pallet stove and a stylish sofa with cushions and carpet. The orange tones fit perfectly with the warm atmosphere of De Kleine Beer. And we’ll admit, we love the interior so much that we’ve searched for some brand information at the bottom of the carpet.
Behind the sitting area is a kitchen with dining area and behind it a small, but not too tight bathroom. On top of this area is the bedroom. This was the first time we visited a tiny house with a bedroom loft and we are big fans ever since. The cozy, low loft has a comfortable bed, nice reading lamps and a beautiful skylight for lots of natural light.
Although it is wonderful cocooning in De Kleine Beer, we have also explored the Veluwe of course. Historical towns such as Zutphen and Deventer are just around the corner. Also higly recommended is the MORE museum for modern art. The permanent collection features works by well-known Dutch artists such as Charley Toorop, Carel Willink and Erwin Olaf, but there are also changing exhibitions. And for those who don’t like modern art: the historical Kasteel Rosendael is a must-visit.

De Kleine Beer is located in one of the holiday parks of the well-known EuroParcs. Because of this, the tiny house offers a great combination of cosiness, nature and tranquillity, but with the facilities of a large park such as a bakery and swimming pool. When staying in the house, you hardly notice the large park. The view of the forest and the twittering of all birds gives you this feeling of sitting deep in the forest. It only takes about two minutes from the house to get to the forest for a forest walk. Forest bathing is therefore a must-do here.
