I visited some of my personal favorite espresso bars in London last weekend. The Four Corners, Monmouth, Monocle and Allpress not only serve the best coffee, but are also very nice spots to enjoy your coffee.
The Four Corners can be found on the South Bank. So that was close to the Airbnb where we slept last weekend! Around the corner you will find The Graffiti Tunnel in the Leake Street Arches with the coolest graffiti art.
You will come across Monmouth everywhere in London. It is served almost everywhere. But if you want to go to the one and only Monmouth coffee bar, you have to go around Neal’s Yard. Which street exactly? The Monmouth Street of course. Neal’s Yard is also a very nice place for breakfast or lunch, but be on time for a table at one of the many restaurants.
You will find Monocle just above the center in a very characteristic neighborhood. The coffee is so popular that this little coffee shop can count on many visitors. We combined our visit to Monocle with a cycling tour through the neighborhood to view the beautiful houses.
My Sunday morning in London I prefer to start at Allpress in Shoreditch. First visit the flower market on Columbia Road and then arrange a table at this little coffee shop for breakfast. My favorite breakfast: Eggs & Soldiers with a kind of French toast to dip into your egg.
